Savwoir's writing has many connections to our life experiences here in the Big Easy ( New Orleans) unlike other places in America. Savwoir hopes to raise awareness and educate readers about the existence of skin-based racism with his writings. This is especially true with African Americans, but should also raise their consciousness. Savwoir says it is time for the Black man to chart the family's path. The Black man has been pushed aside by society and needs to embrace his rightful place in the family. He wants these stories to inspire discussion and understanding about the role fathers play in shaping the future for themselves and their families. Asking the questions that matter to a BlacMorek man, as a father, and as someone that loves his family. What you have here is the foundation and the results of these stories. It is appropriate for all members of the family but is especially geared toward young boys and men. It is Savwoir’s hope that families will enjoy his writings and appreciate reading more as a family unit.
