I’ve written these fictional short stories because of my own life experiences in relationships and family dynamics. I hope that these stories will be of particular interest in increasing men’s readership. These stories, however, are broadly written to appeal to all members of the family for “family time” reading. 

After graduating with honors and receiving a full scholarship to college, I soon realized that education was one of my first steps to success. Being out of state for college helped me grow as a person. I became more self-sufficient, independent, and eager to experience life.

Having a science background made me methodical, detailed, Moreand process-oriented. I worked in public health for 16 years at the state and city levels. 

In 2013, I returned to college at Southern University at New Orleans (HBCU) and received a certificate in elementary education. I taught school at the elementary school level in public schools for one year. The absence of quality education based upon poor curriculum and lack of resources opened up my eyes. It was indeed disheartening to see the lack of male role models in the system. I take my hat off to any teacher who is passionate enough to continue teaching for such little compensation.
